Short-term and longer-term effects of E-Cigarettes on cardiovascular system

Time: 14:00 - 14:15

The impact of tobacco smoking on the cardiovascular system is well established. Understanding how vaping affects those same parameters and indices is crucial for determining whether it can be considered a harms reduction measure. Observational trials in vaping are fraught with fatal flaws that make them unreliable. Good quality long-term follow-up is also challenging for various reasons that will be discussed. This session will explore the short and long(er) term impacts of vaping on various cardiovascular function indices and explore the intriguing question of “how safe is passive vaping?”
